And Now For Something Completely Different

About Me

Hello, my name is Lindsey.
I live out in the boondocks of Ohio.
I'm 18 years old have graduted from high school.
I was an honor roll student and have been inducted into The National Honor Roll.
I love reading.
I'd rather have a new book than new clothes.
Some call me a Grammar Nazi.
I dislike sports.
However, I find Ninja Warrior extremely entertaining.
I'll be band geek until I die.
I was in marching/concert band and jazz band.
I played the tenor saxophone.
Tenors rule!
I'm going to attend Thiel College this fall.
I aim to get a degree in veterinary medicine / biology.
I love animals.
In fact, I prefer them to most people.
I support organizations dedicated to helping animals 100%.
However, I don't support PETA. I think they hurt the cause more than help it.
I have three pets myself, a cat named Ayshia, another cat named Chyanne, and a dog named Sadie.
I love them, they're my babies.
They're the reason why I'm staying home during college.
They're not the only reason, my grandma is another.
My grandma knows me better than anyone. I call her Nana, you can call her G-ma. (All my friends do.)
She's the greatest and without her, I don't know what I'd do. She's my rock.
I love the rest of my family too. They're the best, no doubt about it.
I have amazing friends that I love^10. I'd be lost without them.
I love orange and spice tea. A lot.
I hate velvet.
I tend to exaggerate.
"I am so clever that sometimes I don't understand a single word of what I am saying" (Oscar Wilde).
I also love taking pictures and making blogs. It's a rare thing to see me somewhere without my camera.
My camera is also my baby. If you've touched it, I must really trust you.
I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy.
I despise laugh tracks.
Bob Barker is a robot.
And he is our only hope.
I hate chain bulletins.
Ralph Nader.
I tend to talk loudly and animatedly when I get excited.
I love the outdoors and nature.
My mind is a nomad.
"Hell is other people" (Jean-Paul Sartre).
I have an extreme fear of doctors / medical people. (Except for vets, of course.)
Sometimes I start talking like Sean Connery for absolutely no reason and have a very hard time stopping.
In fact, I have diced personalities. They range from the aforementioned Mr. Connery, all the way to Robin Leach.
I like the word "aforementioned."
"I reject your reality and substitute my own" (Adam Savage)!
I don't own colorful clothing, it's mostly black. I'm not a fan of colors. Sue me.
Don't ask me why I don't do stuff with my hair, it annoys me. Just be satisfied with the answer, "I don't like to."
I'm pretty sure Wal*Mart and Amazon.com own my soul.
I am the world's greatest procrastinator.
I'm a Republican.
I'm "blind in my left eye" according to Mrs. M.
I loves me some Bill O'Reilly. Mmhmm.
Let's not argue politics though, that tends to rile me up, and I tend to get vicious.
Let's just agree to disagree. It's for the best.
I once killed a man in Reno.
Or was that Johnny Cash?
I would be lost without Google and Wikipedia.
I'm an anglophile.
I love Monty Python.
My friends have even suggested that I'm obsessed.
And I agree.
Out of the six, I love Eric Idle most of all.
Don't get me wrong, I love 'em all, but Eric holds a special place in my obsessed little heart.
The man is a genius and is extremely talented. He should be proclaimed God.
Banana phone!
My dog's better than your dog.
I love comedy.
I can find a humorous side to just about anything.
Especially if I'm slaphappy.
I think I'm pretty funny, but you can be the judge of that. (G-ma says I'm a ham.)
I'm agnostic.
Lemon curry?
I used to be pretty shy, but over the years I've grown out of it.
I still am to a certain degree, but I warm up eventually.
I'm a huge fan of music as well.
Music isn't my entire life, but it's a big part of it. What is life without music?
I hate drugs and alcohol.
If you feel the need to drink alcohol on occasion, sure, okay, whatever. It's not for me, but if you want to, it doesn't really bother me.
However, if you're drinking every weekend (or day) and all the time at parties though, or just doing it for something to do, or for some other dumb reason, no, not cool.
I've seen how alcohol ruins a person and brings out the worst in them. I truly despise the drink. It is an EVIL poison corroding not only the liver, but the mind. The more you drink, the more stupid you become.
So please, don't EVER say to me, "Oh, I wanna get you drunk. You need to be drunk one time. You should get drunk!", because if you do, you'll probably end up royaly ticking me off. It's never going to happen. No matter what you say, I won't touch the vile substance.
I am above peer pressure.
By the way, you may not even know I'm ticked because I hide my emotions like a wounded antelope from the hungry lion that is society.
That was a pretty sweet metaphor, eh?
Anyway...
And drugs, why?
How retarded are you to even consider doing them? Seriously.
If you abuse either of them, you're a waste of human life.
And while we're here, smoking is disgusting.
I don't need to do any of those things. I'm better than that. :)
This is who I am, if you find you can tolerate me and my incoherent rambling, let's be friends.
Pting!
