About Me

Hello. My name is Bing Fing Ding. I am the world's smartest panda.I am currently spending time abroad, and have taken up residence in an apartment on the outskirts of Rome. I plan to spent the next six or seven moths here while preparing my doctoral thesis and soak in some of the fine mediterranean atmosphere.Most of my studies have been conducted in the liberal arts, although I do piddle about time to time in ameutrish work of other disciplines.I play the piano, althought not particularly well. I enjoy badmitton, crossword puzzles, and temperate climates.Hmmm...that's about all I can think of at this moment.

My Interests

As I am a Panda first and a scholar second; I believe it puts me in a unique position to appreaciate both the finer points of life as well as the more simple things.I enjoy munching on bamboo, having a smoke, and reading a good book. I enjoy large shiny objects, and things that emit chirping noises.Linguistics has always been a fun endeavor. Since my earlier years spent tentatively approaching a working knowledge of the english language, I have always been fascinated with written and oral means of communication.

Music:

Mostly piano. Chopin is my favorite. I also enjoy some jazz; Duke Ellington, Thelonius Monk etc.

Movies:

Never bothered with movies.

Books:

Milton, Defoe, Voltaire, Blake, Byron, and Sir Thomas More are among my favorites.
