What is StandUP! Against Poverty?
Stand Up and Speak Out is the growing movement of people no longer prepared to stay seated or silent in the face of poverty and inequality. On October 16th and 17th, all over the world average citizens will Stand Up and Speak Out for the Millennium Development Goals.
Ann Arbor, MI and surrounding areas are joining in this global effort. Our banner below has the dates and times that YOU can get involved! The rally will be held at the University of Michigan, in the Diag. If you are driving to Ann Arbor, the Diag is located relatively at State Street and Williams. (For those of you unfamiliar with U of M's campus, if you're standing on the corner of Williams and State Street, the Diag is the open grassy area in between the school buildings. A map will be posted soon!). There will be banners posted, tables set up, possibly a radio station booth and lots of noise- we'll be easy to find!
Add this banner to your page and help us promote! Copy and past the following into your "About Me" section, replacing the *'s with *img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1263/1472984520_dd92dc39
