I grew up where the ancient forests of Australia’s south east coast meet the blue pacific. I am currently living in Montreal with my wife Melanie and my kids, Cyril and Cleméntine. My passions include writing and performing music, exploring the wilds of nature and feasting with kin and strangers. Part headonist, part recluse, but for the most part a loving soul in eternal flirtation with the unknowable, ‘‘and as anyone who knows anything about the unknowable well knows’... well?... Knows!
My beloved musical partners in crime include my bandmates: Martin, Georgi and Paul. I also really enjoy my writing, recording and touring stints with Coral Egan as much as I do my production work with Lubo and Kaba Horo.
I’m another diehard fool who is indeed all about the music. And as my ass kissing talents are mostly expressed in the bedroom, I have thus far been 99% successful in avoiding any direct heat from the music industry, just lucky I guess…. So by default I remain, albeit temporarily, an underground entity. Seeping through the cracks like an abundant spring, bringing deep grooves and lyrical sustenance from within….well, that’s my spin.
Miraculously I survive, doing what I think I should. The muse Seldom abandones me and I'm grateful that my passion for music is self sustaining.
