Hello, everyone!
Thanks for visiting me on-line. Simply put, I created this site to share my music and my live performances with you.
I am a jazz guitarist and composer based in southern Italy with the main interest in modern jazz and contemporary improvised music . My journey of exploring and innovating jazz music gives me a feeling of wonder, appreciation and joy of discovery. As far back as I can remember I always wanted to play music. I began playing piano when I was nine and picked up the guitar at the age of 12. I took classic guitar lessons and played with various rock bands until I finally discovered the world of Jazz.
I started studying with the guitarist Claudio Cusmano, who fed my fascination of Jazz. My personal studies led me to Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, Jim Hall... Also a huge part of my guitar education took place in jam sessions and playing gigs at the clubs.
Following my heart I have started composing my own music. The joy of making music is compounded by the joy of sharing it with the great musicians and the audience. I continue to lead my own jazz group (guitar, bass and drums trio) as well as perform in quartet and other group formats.
That's where I'm at now. I think that my tunes, arrangements and improvisations are reflective of who I am now as an artist.
