MIKAN ZLATKOVICH BIO
An accomplished pianist with over a decade of professional experience playing both in Europe and the U.S., Mikan has shared the stage with jazz notables like Tony Scott, Clifford Jordan, Chet Baker, Ernie Wilkins, the Banda Brothers, Anthony Wilson, Willie Jones III and Charles McPherson.
On piano or synthesizer, whether the venue be arena or intimate club, Mikan's strong improvisational skills have thrilled and touched live audiences. Studio engineers on both coasts have marveled at his imagination and speed at delivering great tracks.Since moving to San Diego in 1997, Mikan has been no less than a force on the local jazz scene. While complementing the extrodinary talents of local jazz greats such as Daniel Jackson, Chuck McPherson, Marshall Hawkins, Marguerita Page, John B. Williams, and Bob Magnusson, he now fronts his own jazz trio, The Mikan Zlatkovich Trio.
Mikan's experience extends to orchestras, bands and groups in concert. With radio and television credits and local jazz club appearances, he has developed an audience who know and love great jazz.
