About Me
Anus Dei was formed somewhere around 1998, but began more seriously with rehearsals and gigs only in 2001. Since then the line-up remained mostly the same, with one change in the end of 2003, when our previous singer, Arpad (Anguish Sublime, Tales of Dark), left the band. Besides him, we had other members for a short period of time, notably Pedja (mm) on bass in the beginning and Draško (Anguish Sublime, Necropolis) on a second guitar in 2002. Our music is a mixture of grindcore and (death) metal.
With Arpad on vocals the lyrics were anti-religious and blasphemous (maybe we’ll upload those early versions sometime, somewhere), but with his departure they shifted more towards general social/political themes. Now they are mainly a criticism of religion, churches, priests, believers, national-, racial-, ideological-superiority, social indifference, the Serbian state and society etc.
We played mostly in our home town (Temerin) and a nearby city (Novi Sad), and a few places in Vojvodina (northern province of Serbia).
Until our first demo is done, we uploaded a few songs from a rehearsal, unfortunately without bass.
