A punk rock band GOOD 4 NOTHING was formed in 1999 in Osaka, Japan, and has been playing fast, powerful, and fun punk rock such as Blink 182, New Found Glory, Good Charlotte. The first demo tape was released as D.I.Y. in 2000. It was sold 2500 copies and brought it up to the center of the conversation among punk rock fans in Japan.
In 2001, the 1st maxi single "LET'S MAKE THE FUTURE" was released. This album had been placed NO.1 at TOWER RECORDS OSAKA chart for 3 weeks. Although this album was sold well in Osaka, G4N was just a local band at that time.
G4N has been getting considered as one of the most popular punk rock bands in Japan after the 1st full album gGOOD 4 NOTHINGh was released in 2001. gGOOD 4 NOTHINGh jumped into Japanese Indies chart at NO.6, and has been sold 20,000 copies in Japan.
2nd maxi single "SURLY COMES TOMORROW" was released in March 2002, and 3rd maxi single "I'M FREE" was released in February 2003. G4N has progressed step by step.
2nd full album "24" was released in2003, and again, jumped into Japanese Indies chart at NO.5, while over 20,000 copies was sold. In the same year, they produced a compilation album called "PUNK ROCK SHOW" released in October. "PUNK ROCK SHOW" is full of cover songs from 80's hit tunes and arranged by G4N and friends punk rock bands.
4th single "WE CAN GO EVERYWHERE" including PV was released in October 2004.
In March 2005, G4N played with "NEVER HEARD OF IT"(U.S.A.) and with "THE BOMB JACKS"(U.K.) in May. Both gigs ended with a great success!
Then, 3rd and the newest full album "TIME TO GO" was released in August 2005. This album contained 12 songs including the cover song of BUDDY HOLLY "EVERYDAY" + PV (2ver), and mastered by Brian Gardner at Bernie Grundman Mastering in L.A.
Brian Gardner is a mastering engineer of following bands for example: SUM41, BLINK182, LINKIN PARK, EMINEM, and more. He did provide tremendous work on this CD. After this release, G4N toured all over Japan, at about 50 places.
Lastly, G4N wants everyone to listen by all means. And, the saga continuesc.
