Almost Blue formed recently in early 2006 when drummer/engineer Noel Goff and guitarplayer/songwriter Ryan "Noodles" Steinwedel returned from a six month recording session in Berlin, Germany with former band Swiftwater Rescue. The boys have been playing jazz gigs around the north atlanta area for a few months now with Almost Blue bassist Mark Sims, who will be touring through Europe in such places as liverpool, and Nice, Frand during the summer months of 2006. Almost Blue band recorded a 10 song LP at Doppler Studios in Atlanta with engineer and friend Eric Hill. The second portion of the album has been finished at G&G studio in Norcross, Ga by Noel Goff and the rest of Almost Blue. Almost Blue mixes sounds of classic rock, jazz, gospel, folk, blues,funk,raegaa and even hip hop influences in order to create a refreshing original sound.
