The music of Signal to Noise documents my personal journey from industrial middle America to the wildest sides of nature I could find. The purpose of these recordings was to make music, not achieve sonic perfection. I used a basic analog recording method with limitations apparent to the discernable listener (hence the name "Signal to Noise").
I produced two albums: Water Planet and Pong. Water Planet was entirely inspired by the natural world and Pong is mostly a throw-back to the early days of digital entertainment, but some other themes creep in as well.
I currently make music with the band Polaroids of the Pyramids. I invite you to also check out that MySpace page. A few of the tracks are updated tunes originally recorded by Signal to Noise. My song "Pong" has always been a personal favorite, so I adopted it into my new band and you can now hear it on that page.
I have also created Smiling Lizard Research, an educational website about the natural history of the Virgin Islands. Clicking the "Band Website" link on the left side of this page will take you there. Please visit and make sure to click the "Support Smiling Lizard" link to learn how you can help support this important educational resource. Enjoy and thanks for visiting!
