We try to focus on music coming into the United States, acts that are making their push into the American music atmosphere. Some of these artists hit big, like MIA or Lady Sovereign, but some are never heard from again (like…). There are stadium packing superstars around the world that can’t get airplay, let alone fill a club in the states. Vice versa there are super great American acts that languish in obscurity in the US but are topping charts abroad. When we say global, we mean every place on the planet, including those acts. That’s what makes doing the show so much fun. We are constantly bringing in new music from superstars across the planet and indie stars from our own backyard.

Strictly Global's Nextwave is looking for talented bands, singers and musicians who tell the stories seldom heard in America. If your music represents your culture, your history, your unique perspective, we want to hear it. Nextwave artists represent their culture in the unique voice given to their generation. Language is no barrier; music is the international voice of all so let yours be heard.
Strictly Global wants footage of you or your band performing and telling us who you are and what makes you a Nextwave artist. All you need is a camera and some time. Videotape a brief interview and you and/or your band performing a song or two and send it to us. Footage of Nextwave artists will be featured between music videos during our nationally broadcast show, as well as featured online.
