About Me

I'm Ruth Crean and I set up '...Nice Day Designs' in Limerick City 2006. Basically I do freelance graphic design. That includes invites, posters, brochures, illustration and so on. I also have a stall at the Sunday market(Thomas St., Limerick, 12-5, weekly). There I sell customised women's clothing, handbags and handmade cards. To get a good look at my new clothes go into my pictures as there is only a selection in the slideshow below. They are all one-off pieces, but I stock sizes 8-16. So if you are looking for something funky, cool and unique for a present or a treat for yourself, then you should check out my stuff. The market has been a great outlet for me and I hope to use it as a spring board for gaining new clients. So far I've worked with some great people, like The Brad Pitt light Orchestra and Impact Theatre Co.Since graduating from LSAD in 2004 it's been an interesting transition.I studied fine art;printmaking, yet since leaving I have had a growing inclination towards design. This year has really been about apply myself to working full time at what I'm good at, making images. So here's hoping I swim instead of sink. Also Check out my new website at ..www.nicedaydesigns.com.., and I'm also selling online at the best handcrafts website ever!! ..www.nicedaydesigns.etsy.com..

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd just like people out there to see my work. If you are in Limerick sure head to to the market and say hello, if not then enjoy looking at some prettty pictures. Also I'm gonna be doing a blog about the stall, making art, starting up this business, and general frustrations with the public, so if you are interested subscribe to my blog. (oh and sorry for the few extra security settings, I was having a lot of trouble with spam, nothing like saying to yourself 'oh, yipee I have mail' and its ten ads for cheap laptops from someone called 'dscvvda)'

Art and strangers

It's funny I amble through my daily life under the sad illusion that people really don't think that much about art. That they find it an inaccesable construct, when they think of art its either renais...
