WAKE UP & LETS GET ORGANIZED!Patrick Henry is said to have swayed the Virginia House of Burgesses to pass the resolution that would send Virginia troops to the Revolutionary war. What did he say? “Why stand here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!†What would Patrick Henry say about the Patriot Act? To those that are willing to exchange their Liberty for what they think is safety? I would suggest that Patrick Henry would be appalled to see this sleeping Nation that knows not the very definition of Liberty. My fellow Americans, Patrick Henry’s point was that he would rather die than loose his Liberty. Patrick Henry was an Anti-federalist who spoke against the Constitution. He felt that it gave the federal government too much control and it would lesson the individual rights of the people. The concerns of the anti-federalist were addressed in Bill of Rights, to prevent what is happening today. Laws are already in place to take away every Liberty that we Americans have fought for. When will these laws take effect and we are no longer Free? I call on every American to research what the United States of America was founded upon. Research the laws passed since 9/11. Read your Constitution and your Bill Of Rights. We should all have the passion of Patrick Henry, this is after all why our great Country was founded… LIBERTY.
