Chick Singer Night is the nation’s most notable and longest-running songfest for female artists. The format is simple. All singers, all styles of music are welcome. Each singer shows up the afternoon of the show and runs her songs with the CSN Band. Later that evening they hit the stage with a hot band in a cool venue and give the performance of a lifetime!
Chick Singer Night Nashville has been in Music City since 2002 where it began at The Bluebird Cafe. Now in its seventh year, CSN Nashville is still rocking, swinging, crooning, and twangin’ away at The French Quarter Cafe. CSN founder Lori Maier hosted the first Chick Singer Night in Chicago 20 years ago... Since then, CSN has spread its wings across the country and is now a regular event in Boston (Regency Theater), New Jersey (Mexicali Blues Cafe), Jersey City (Hyatt Regency Outdoor Summer Series), Chicago (Beat Kitchen), Las Vegas (Palms Casino Resort), Los Angeles (Tangier), Hollywood florida and Miami (Hoy Como Ayer, O’Hara’s), Nashville (The French Quarter Cafe), New York (The Bitter End, Crash Mansion), and Stockholm, Sweden (Under Bara Bar). In 2003 CSN celebrated it’s 15th year anniversary with Megan Mullally in Hollywood and Norah Jones & Daru in New York. In 2004 CSN gathered support from NAMM and began The Producer Project with Guitar Center, bringing winning performers into world class recording studios. In 2008,we’re looking forward to a huge global 20th Anniversary Celebration, marking a stunning history of achievement for Chick Singers everywhere. It’s all an amazing testament to the power of women in music!
