My guitar is my husband although I have a tendency to neglect in as of late. I could endlessly list all the music I adore and listen to, but who actually reads all of those. I like any music despite genre (there isn't even a besides country and rap thing here) because genre has nothing to do with the groove of a tune. Excessive power chords and distortion do bother me and I love just a simple acoustic song.
Anything that is directed beautifully puts a smile on my face. Alfred Hitchcock and the Coen Brothers make me smile uncontrollably. Anything that is made from some work of Stephen King's is great, even if it is an older low budget film. Anything that has a cult following never ceases to fascinates me.
I'll watch old cheese sitcoms like Roseanne and Fresh Prince of Belair *sp* but that is just out of habit.
Hawthorne, Poe, Kerouac (of course), EE Cummings, some Stephen King, Whitman, Dostoyevsky, Herman Melville, Shakespeare, there are no females I can come off the top of my head... I really need to fix that before I continue this list. Call me a feminist, thats fine. I'll just throw rocks at you.
