Povijest HARPOON BLUES BANDA moze se biljeziti od proljeca 2006 . U to vrijeme su Jadran Vuskovic, iskusni gitarist i jedan od osnivaca vec legendarne Daleke Obale i Predrag Lovrincevic, blues entuzijast, usnoharmonikas i bivsi clan splitskih blues bandova Black Cat Bone i Nine Below Zero zapoceli neobaveznu akusticnu svirku po splitskim klubovima. Uskoro im se pridruzuje i pijanist File Aljinovic, te u tom sastavu, pod imenom AKUSTIK THREE sviraju do pocetka 2007. U tom periodu bandu se pridruzuje basist Duje Coko, a nekoliko mjeseci poslije i mladi gitarist Vicko Franic. Taj period je obiljezio velik broj svirki po splitskim klubovima, kroz koje se band profilira, mijenja ime u AKUSTIK 5 i stjece znatan broj poklonika. Uskoro band zbog odlaska u Zagreb napusta File Aljinovic, a band poprima elektricnu formu, te se javlja potreba za bubnjarom. U potrazi za stalnim bubnjarom kroz band je proslo niz glazbenika, tako da tijekom ljeta sa AKUSTICARIMA sviraju bubnjari poput Jadrana Ducica ( BLACK COFEE), Patka (OTPRILIKE OVAKO),Tonija Silobrcica (Zrakomlat) i nekih drugih.Nazivaju se HARPOON BLUES BAND. Koncem 2007 bandu se za bubnjevima pridruzuje Josko Radic,koji je ponekad u bandu gostovao na svom drugom instrumentu, klarinetu. Nakon 2 godine u tom sastavu, Jadran izlazi iz benda radi prevelikog broja drugih obaveza.
Napokon, u 9. mjesec 2009 u bend ulazi pijanist Ivan Gilić kao stalni Älan postave HARPOONA.U ovoj postavi HARPOON BLUES BAND je napokon kompletiran. Zasto bas to ime, pitate se? Harmonika (harp) kao jedan od simbola bluesa i instrument koji medju ostalim tvori prepoznatljivost zvuka banda , morski prizvuk u nazivu, a u konacnici, iskren i direktan pristup bluesu, koji je svim clanovima HARPOON BLUES BANDA duboko ispod koze. Zar to nije dovoljan razlog za ovakvo ime? BLUES ON !!__________________________________________________________

______The HARPOON BLUES BAND story can be registered from the spring of 2006. At that time,
Jadran
Vuskovic, an expert guitarist and one of the founders of legendary Croatian band
DALEKA OBALA, and
Predrag Lovrincevic, blues enthusiast, the harmonica player and ex-member of the
Split blues bands
BLACK CAT BONE and NINE BELOW ZERO, began to play acoustics music at various Split
clubs. Soon, the
piano player, File Aljinovic, joins the duo, and they have been playing together
since the beginning
of year 2007. The bands name is AKUSTIK THREE. At that time the bass player, Duje
Coko, joins the
band, and soon after him the young guitarist, Vicko Franic, joins the band too.
They appear together at many Split clubs, the band get a new profile and change their
name into
AKUSTIK 5, acquiring many new fans. Soon File Aljinovic leaves the band and moves to
Zagreb. The
band adopt an electric form, and they need a drummer. Since that time many drum
players played with
Akustik 5, like Jadran Ducic ( jazz band Black Coffe), Patak (Otprilike Ovako),Toni Silobrcic (Zrakomlat) and
others. They call themselves HARPOON BLUES BAND.
At the end of 2007 Josko Radic, who sometimes played with band on his second instrument, clarinet, joined the band on drums. At that time, Jadran leaves the band because of big amount of other commitments.And finally, at the end of 2009, Ivan Gilic on piano, joines the band.With this crew HARPOON BLUES BAND is finnaly completed.
Why Harpoon Boogie Blues Band?
Harmonica is one of blues symbols, it recalls the accompaying sound of sea ( Split is
ancient
Mediteranian city and place where Harpoons are comming from ) , and finally it is an
honest and
direct access to blues which all the members of HARPOON BLUES BAND have under their
skin .That is
