About Me

The Twisted Waltons' (a failed cloning experiment) were destined for a life of subterfuge, strategic silence and the subversion of authority. Until fate dealt a crushing blow to music lovers everywhere. Cruelly abandoned after being deemed surplus to requirements, (due to their recalcitrent nature), the hapless misfits gravitated to the dark side. Weakness's of the flesh, fast women, slow horses, strong liquor, that sort of thing. Banned from the world poker tour for using performance enhancing steroids, 'The Twisted Waltons' plunged further into a downward spiral, taking dysfunctionality to a new level. Finding solace to their meaningless existence in low down honky tonk bars, dives and juke joints. The music of the devil filled the void in their ungodly and amoral lives. Defying all logic and oblivious to such glaring limitations as tone deafness or the inability to read music, the group carried on regardlessly. Conducting spontaneous, badly planned and extremely ill advised recording sessions in secret locations. Fuelled by cheap alchohol, unsuitable prescription drugs and a bad attitude. The despairing, pained looks on the faces of their initial audiences did nothing to deter the band's misplaced ambitions. Missing the punk rock era completely, due to an inability to grasp the concept of three chords, and being wasted between 1977 and 2005, they missed the perfect vehicle for their musical limitations. . Spurred on by the anonymity, revelling in the obscurity and basking in the humiliation of so few hits on their ' My Space' page, 'The Twisted Waltons' are rumoured to be working on a new album called "tall tales in the naked city".MySpace Layouts nUCLEArcENTURy .COM's MySpace Profile Editor ! Sounds Like: Music is like sex; it should be demonstrated and not talked about! But anyway here goes; WE SOUND LIKE a new kind of blues with splashes of magenta and crimson - a collision of bodies rather than a meeting of minds - jumping off the latest bandwagon and falling face first into the gutter - angels cavorting with the wrong kind of men - an absinthe fueled rant at a largely unsympathetic and ambivalent moon - toggle bolts being thrown into a clothes drying machine on an unstable floor -we didn't listen to those nagging voices chirping away in our heads - gargling razor blades whilst simultaneously splashing round in a champagne bath - a plethora of overabundant and unnecessary words, idioms, cliches and phrases. breathlessly and mercilessly choked into under-prepared, defenceless minimalistic sentences, and then set to melodramatic, rythm driven music - a large medicine ball being punched into the overindulgent stomach of a fast food junkie - cheech and chong and spinal tap jamming in a padded cell - like all bad ideas it seemed a good one at the time
