i'm lindsay. i'm from bristol, we've got a river.
i'm pretty sure i started the trend of saying "blatantly" when i was twelve, but i'm not sure i should claim it because all the people who over-use that word now are prats, most of whom don't even really know what it means.
i only listen to good music. i don't especially care if you agree with me about it.
i really like drawing. i want to be an illustrator. i like the packaging on japanese candy (i like the candy too), children's books from the 60s and 70s, and most cartoons involving anthropomorphised food products. i collect vinyl art toys, and badges. i really like dada but i'm not very dadaist. i actually find a lot of it quite aesthetically pleasing, which i know isn't the point.
i like defending 'controversial' (usually conceptual) art and watching people get pissed off about it. i kind of like the london 2012 olympics logo (even if it's sort of "nu rave"-looking). it's a bit like piero manzoni shitting in tin cans: i love hearing outraged people say "i could have done that" when someone gets paid millions for a simple idea.
i don't think i'm a grown up yet. i do read newspapers but i also watch spongebob squarepants. i eat like a five-year-old.
i'm a vegetarian. i wish someone would invent veggie hot dogs that taste good. hot dogs are the only meat i miss, which is gross because i know they are just tubes of assorted pig bits like lips and eyes. i'm not vegetarian for ethical reasons/'pigs are cute' reasons (even though they are!). it's not the taste really either, i just think the concept of ingesting flesh is not appealing. i avoid milk too when possible. it's got pus in it!
i'm quite good with computers. i can do some design wizardry with the adobe creative suite, but at the same time i think it would be cool if i could just pack it all in and become some sort of neo-luddite.
i'm trying more and more to be an honest and straightforward person. but i also don't really care if people think i'm an arty prat, either.
