About Me

How can you write about yourself? The outcome will always be biased and can only reveal what you think about yourself rather than who others see you to be. Having said that, here's what I think about me... I love life and enjoy it's fullness. I love sharing that life and experience with others. I care deeply for people I know (and many I don't). I find it hard to express my feelings. I can be easily hurt. I love good food and dining out is one of my favourite things. I love good music and I love to dance. I love beaches, but not sand. I love sunsets and sunrises. I enjoy good wine, good Scotch (Glenfiddich is fine!), Irish Whisky, and drink boubon and cola, but don't like beer. I love cake but not coffee (unless it is in a great tiramisu, or mixed with liqueur). I love to travel and see new places and meet new people. My present favourite place to eat is "Bungalow 8". From time to time I love "Three Clicks West" or "Rockpool" (I do so love the "ballet" of food preparation and service at Rockpool and could go just to watch!!) My favourite chef was "Marco" previously of Zeffirelli's. The world has lost a great person recently with Marco's death. I have been married twice. I must be a failure at that. I love to hold and be held. I am a christian and that is very important to me. It holds all the rest together.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I love meeting people. It does not matter how bright they are, how much money they have (or don't have). It does not matter their age, race or religion. We all need to realise that there is much more that makes us alike than those few things that make us different. Let us explore and celebrate our humanity together, rather than letting the differences tear us apart.

The Trip - Day 1

I like to be among the last off a plane. It is not that I like to be last, but I hate standing in the aisle, holding people up, trying to get the bags from the luggage cabinet, while impatient people ...

Tango 2

Argentine Tango is a "walking dance". My friend and singing teacher, Jonathon Welch, says that "singing is just exaggerated speaking on pitch". Tango, therefore, is "exaggerated walking with rhythm". ...
