Stage 3 is a one-of-a-kind studio built and designed based on over 25 years of commercial photography and production experience. This unique 42,000 square foot building is owned by renowed photographer Andre LaRoche. Recently J. Lauri Filmworks made Stage 3 its home following an invitation from Mr. LaRoche to move there.
Our creative complex is located just fifteen minutes north of Detroit, Michigan. It includes multiple indoor stages (the largest is 125' x 56' x 26') as well as an 8000 square foot roof-top shoot deck that is complete with a 12,000lb vehicle lift. We offer full spacious kitchens, private bathrooms, corporate meeting and dining areas, dressing rooms with showers, 125 parking spaces and high speed Internet access. In addition, our full size overhead doors can accommodate special display items as large as a semi-truck tractor!
In 2009 we will host film acting, directing and production workshops led by Hollywood notables throughout the year. We are bringing Hollywood here to help you prepare for the new Michigan motion picture economy.
In 2009 we will be hosting two workshops with notable Hollywood Director Alan Myerson, DGA (pictured above). Alan will share his experience directing such productions as Love Boat, Welcome Back Kotter, Dynasty, Miami Vice, Frazier, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal, Jag, Friends, and Judging Amy. We will also host legendary award-winning commercial and film director Victor Milt, DGA (www.VictorMilt.com). His presentation is based on his two best-selling DVD's "Light It Right" and "Director - Cameraman." Victor has over He has over 50 national and international awards for his direction and cinematographic achievements.
In late summer 2009 we will host a cinematography workshop led by Hollywood Director of Photography Steven Fierberg, ASC.
