Decatur natives Savage (FRANK QUALL 3rd.) and Mann (FRANK QUALLS Jr.) are pushing their own Midwestern genre a danceable, carefree club sound they like to call Dramatic Effect music. DRAMATIC EFFECT is a feeling, maintains 16 year old king savage. Its about doing things to the fullest and being the best. Were basically saying whatever youre trying to do out here in life, be Trill about it. Were fans of all kinds of music, adds mann. But when it comes to us, we like to do our own thing. Weve never tried to follow anyone elses style. Were individuals. D&E have been on their own path since we fount out who the haters an who's not . They developed a love for hip-hop as they went threw the prosess an pain D&E started getting serious about rap. Savage began dabbling in music production , while MANN started putting his lyrics on tape. Eventually, they formed a duo. Naming themselves DRAMATIC EFFECT RECORDZ , We were hot around the way. Also hot on the scene were local groups BIG OL PLAYERS,ACAP, and many others, who were well-known among the high schools. They were pushing their songs Headbussa and GET YA MIND RIGHT, but at the same time we had LIKE 23,HARD TIMES and SWISHER SPLITTER, says SAVAGE. We were all just doing our thing. Signing to Indie 1st in 2006, DRAMATIC EFFECT RECORDZ changed their name to D&E and immediately began working on their forthcoming WE ALL WE GOT. The idea behind the title stems from the fact that local fans have been patiently waiting for D&E to blow. Now, its long overdue for the twosome to shine. And they plan to do so with their first single, FREE, a party-starting ode to around-the-way-people who wants to fight for wats it worth .
