Born and raised on the volcanic island Dominica in the west indies, Original Chappa started singing in the church as many other great reggae singers.
In 2004 he moved to Europe and Gothenburg, Sweden, where he started working with the sound system and producer team Blenda Sound.
In 2005 he released a seven inch, Wuk A Gal (All Over Records) and in the 2006 he had three tracks on a Blenda Sound mixtape.
He's also been opening act for big Jamaican acts as Junior Kelly and big Swedish acts like Governor Andy and Kapten Röd.
At the moment he's working on his debut album, Block Corner.
The first teaser from that album is his wicked new single, High Grade.
