Hi. I'm the author of Stupid Sock Creatures and I run the Stupid Creatures Toy Company right here in Asheville. For going on 5 years now, we've been making custom stuffed toys and developing new lines of ready made items. Find us at our studio in the Railside building in Asheville's River Arts District .
Thing is, I'm much better at being an artist than I am at running a business. All I really want to do is draw and sculpt. This whole designer toy thing kind of fell in my lap, and it's been amazing watching it develop. Now that I've written books about making stuffed toys, I'm seeing what an impact those books have had. This phenomenon has been a real treat to experience.
I'll take what help I can get from all of you fans and viewers to spread the word about the Stupid Creatures. We want toy design contracts. We love to hear your questions, comments and helpful suggestions.
On an important personal note, Christ has transformed me. I had my awakening to this truth when I was 14. It was wild. My life is not entirely my own, so I'll go where I'm sent. UNLESS it's to the polls to vote Republican.

Television:

Kind of moot, now, huh, since all the writers are still striking. Not that I mind, anyway. Reading is better and the writers deserve better compensation. So while we're forced to do something less lazy than ogle pixels, we can maybe try research or calling grandma and asking about the depression. Perhaps we should all try our hand at writing. I am.

Books:

Harry Potter, Preacher (a comic book series), Grant Morrison, Rings trilogy, Doug TenNapel, Stupid Sock Creatures, Tristan Egolf, Agatha Christie, Thomas A Kempis (this man had it figured out), all that stuff that got omitted from the Bible, Aaron McGruder, Stuff like that.
