J. Jordan's intoxicating voice captures his listeners from the very first note. Having versatile vocal abilities and a style that captures the majority, Jordan can't be limited to one genre of music.Born and raised in Memphis, TN; J. Jordan was exposed to various styles of music, but growing up his root was in gospel music. As an active youth in his local church, he became one of the lead vocalist in the church choir. Having musical influences such as Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, The Isley Brothers, Jodeci, and R. Kelly; he began to spread out his musical talents. As a result, while still in high school, he formed and arranged the R&B group, Xquisite. The group won several music competions and went on to be opening acts for headliners that include Destiny's Child, Jagged Edge, Dave Hollister, Divine and several others.Now a solo artist and Atlanta resident, J. Jordan has worked with various producers such as Drumsquad (Drumma Boy Swizzo), Willy Will, T. Lynch, The Chef, Nazty (CTE) and Young Juve to name a few.
