Hey this is Marshall, and yes it is me writing, so I suppose I should give you some insight into my mind, a voyeuristic window into my mental skeleton if you will. Actually I won't, that's what the music is for, I guess this is where the superficial facts [green light], so here you go:I was introduced to hip-hop at the age of 11 after hearing "The Eminem Show", I am 17 years of life and I consider Lupe Fiasco, KanYe West, Eminem and Tupac Shakur to be my greatest influences in this field. I always prefer the alternative to the mainstream and think individuality is what allows for art to survive (a sad contradiction when trying to break into "The Industry": a soul-absorbing factory of similarly-marketed and like-minded clones). I'm pretty laid-back and relaxed in real life (not much seems to bother me), but through my music, I am able to express all of my fears, frustrations, ambitions, and feelings of the world around me, sort of a release. I am currently prepping my first mixtape, titled: "Marshall Tan Is The New Black", title's a double, triple, quadruple, etc entendre.... Oh yea, I was also on "Jeopardy!" once a time long ago, yea you heard it from me. And yea, I'm Chinese, so don't get it twisted. You Know Work's in Progress Always.....Whatup
