About Me

Auntie Annie's.
Auntie Annie's is Katy Daly's sister bar, located a stone's throw away on the popular Dublin Road. Expect more of the same from Annie's - friendly staff, a great jukebox and cheap, decent grub. Upstairs is the main attraction however - an intimate venue where the best in local acts take the stage alongside some of the greatest touring bands that you didn't even know you loved yet. Saturday nights play host to the Belfast institution that is Skibunny - a club where anything goes musically and one of the best places to go dancing at the weekend. Every other Tuesday the great peeps down at Bruised Fruit run Up In The Attic - a three band local music extravaganza where the focus is on the cream of the local music scene and is an absolute steal at £3 - that's a pound a band!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

..

Blackout starts on Friday 19th December and continues every Friday in Auntie Annies, Dublin Road, Belfast.

It’s an indie guitar dance party where you’ll hear much less of the usual disco, funk, house, beats or breaks, and much more of the best old and new left-of-centre guitar music.

With a team of 5 DJ’s from Panama Kings, Not Squares, The Jane Bradfords and No Dancing you can be sure the music will stay fresh and you can expect to hear the following and plenty more: www.myspace.com/blackoutinbelfast for guestlist and requests

SCIENCE - The new club. Saturdays at Auntie Annie’s.

“Science” is the new Saturday club at Dublin Road’s ever-popular Auntie Annie’s venue. The club will appeal to both fans of the legendary Skibunny club, which Science replaces, and those who like a bit more dance with their indie. The DJs at the helm will be Belfast's premier party mash-up crew FAUX and Gregory Ferguson, the man behind house music sensation Jupiter Ace and the electropop-tastic AJ Suzuki. These guys really know how to rock a party. Have a listen to their scorching new mix is available at www.sciencebelfast.co.u."Get some noisy facts in yer head!"
WIRED THURSDAY NIGHTSFor a long time, dance nights have been narrow affairs catering to a specific genre or style of music, rarely crossing over or trying new things. With Wired the idea is to buck this trend by splicing together different types of quality dance music to create a club soundtrack that is cutting edge, credible and cool. Running the gambit from cosmic disco through to banging electro, via classic tracks and a smattering of techno, resident DJs Jonny Tiernan and Tina Hart are both adept at using their skills and record collections to move a crowd. The aim is to bring a dose of freshness and fun to the Belfast club scene. Dance music shouldn’t be po-faced and serious, it should be about letting go and unleashing your inner raver. If a good-time dancefloor is something you crave, then Wired is your club.
