Great News !! I have talked to someone who knew my grandfather, his name is... I call him " Mr. Jerry " : All I can say about him, is he is one in a million. He and his wife are two fine people. He " Mr. Jerry" has told me some great stories about Rex, and not what everyone has wrote or said about him. He "Rex" was always what I thought he would have been. A GREAT MAN, kind, giving, and cared about people. At least in Mr. Jerry's eyes.
Myspace LayoutsYou know I always said " That GOD" will lead you in the right direction. Some times you think everything is going good, then "LIKE A BRICK WALL" you think you just can't go anymore. But really, it's just gives you time to stop and think, "WHAT NEXT" than you might get that special phone call, or e-mail, or you just happened to make the right phone call. and that special person is on the other end, someone you have never meet, but some how seem to trust, and really care about them. And they really care about what has happened to you and your family or maybe say "REX GRIFFIN" and will go that extra mile to help you, or just talk. I have meet some of those special people. So I would like to say a special thanks to a few very important people in the music field. I know I am a big thorn in there lives, but no matter what, they still answer the phone, and always there when you really need them.
THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR ME & REX GRIFFIN

REX GRIFFIN : Is my grandfather.
Hi my name is Trorine. He's a man I have never met, but love with all my heart. I have done allot of research the last few years, but you come to a point that you can't get anymore answers, unless you find someone that knew or knew of him. I'm sure there are some good old timers stories out there. To really find out I decided to make him a myspace page, and I have met some very nice, and caring people. If anyone knows of him, knew him, or has pictures ( ANYTHING WOULD MAKE US HAPPY ) Please let me know. My sister (Terri) and I went to Nashville this passed year, to represent our grandfather at the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. It was a honor to be invited. I am very disappointed in allot of singer/songwriters, and band members, etc. ( I could keep on ) Reading there Influences: I suppose he is just forgotten about. I'm sure thats what allot of people would like to have happen. People say he was a drinker, well you would be to if you had the life he had, also his so call friends would borrow, steal, take, or forget to tell him they where taking his songs, or even give him credit for them. It is a shame! His song writing made allot of people rich, but him!! Did anybody go see him while he was in the New Orleans Hospital? Did you know he wasn't given a big funeral? Did you know all he had was a marker, flag something like that on his grave site. For 25 years he laid there forgot about. Now he has a small stone, with his name Rex Griffin and it has only the year he was born and the year he died. It is a shame no one gave anything to his family to help with even a headstone. M.D.Garmon wrote the greatest article about him. His words mean allot.
Here are some songs I bet you didn't know about!!
"Don't Let The Stars Get In Your Eyes"
Oh Yeah! another 1 hit. That he didn't get credit for. Listen to the songs in the song list. Just to let you know. Anything I write in here you can believe it is the truth, nothing I say is false and I have proof. Oh Yeah!! GREAT NEWS !!! REX is now Current Affiliation: BMI so guess what, Carl Perkins "estate" WILL NOT be getting another dime from REX GRIFFIN'S "Everybody's Tryin' To Be My Baby"
