As Yet Untitled

About Me

As Yet Untitled was started by two high school friends Tommy Sellers (Mr. Misslippy on myspace) and Mykal Nelson. Their first recorded effort, "Soon to Sound What Where" featured Kenny Adams on guitar and Spencer G. on drums. The CD ranges from serious high-energy funk (Again & Black Coffee Suite) to acoustic roots music (Across the Water), to Reggae (Dragon Flight), to almost metal with "She Thought." The song Across the Water was in regular rotation for a month or two on KWOD 106.5. A new guitarist, drummer and saxophone player were added in the development of their second CD, "Becomes You." The band was fortunate enough to work with AC/DC/Mother Love Bone producer Mark Dernley in the development of that CD. "Mother Colorwheel" from that CD was featured on a 98 Rock (then, 93 Rock) compilation CD. The band toured relentlessly during this time playing great venues such as the Crest Theater (Sac) and the Warfield (S.F.) and opened for great Sacramento success stories such as Cake and the Deftones. One promoter even booked (then new artist) 'Train' as an opening act for As Yet Untitled. The touring took its toll, and the death of Becomes You drummer Eric Haag didn't help things. The band went on a hiatus. Through mutual friends, Tommy Sellers met drummer Jerry Barton who encouraged the band to come back with him on the drums. Rehearsals ensued and new music started flowing. Their efforts resulted in the recording of the self-titled "As Yet Untitled" CD released last year. Since the return of AYU, the band has played several great shows including a 91x Showcase at the Casbah in San Diego and the Zone 100.5's "Day in the Zone." The band also did an in-studio radio performance at KRZQ in Reno (download available on our website).I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
