About Me

As a singer songwriter for 16 years, Jude has created an incredible collection of breathtaking ballads, folk, rock and country songs. Presently playing in venues around Ontario as a solo act, he also performs as a drummer for the Rocket 88's, Jericho’s Wall and countless other bands in the region. Born Jude Waldman in Glasgow, Scotland on July 3, 1973, his family moved in 1975 to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Jude found his fascination for playing instruments at a young age. Receiving his first drum kit when he was just 3, and continuing on to play guitar at age 12; eventually finding his unique voice at age 16 through the writing of original music. In 1998, Jude released his first solo CD entitled, "Songwriter." His long awaited new solo CD entitled, "Live N' Pickin + Horses and Trains," a mix of studio and live recordings, was released June 30, 2007. Its musical styles including Bluegrass, Country, Folk & Rock. Since the beginning of his high-school years, Jude played in local bands, writing songs and playing tunes by The Band, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Steve Earl, The Eagles, Kris Kristofferson, Ronnie Hawkins and many others. No stranger to the road, Jude has toured with Fred Eaglesmith & the Flying Squirrels, The Weber Brothers and the Rocket 88's. The Weber Brothers recently recorded one of Jude’s songs, "Wait for the Dawn," on their most recent CD, "Exhibition" (2007). He also co-wrote "When This War Comes To An End" with the Weber Brothers. It can be found on their “Lost & Found” album (2005). Jude's songs have been performed by many Canadian artists including: Three Days Grace –“First Day of Summer;” The County Boys - “Farmer John;” Beau Dixon - “Wait For The Dawn;” Gary Caravagio – “Waitin' On The Line;” The Electric City Ramblers - “Momma I'm Drinking Again.” He is also recognized as a talented songwriter by many successful Canadian artists including Prairie Oyster & Ronnie Hawkins. Jude is currently immersed in his career as a performer and songwriter. Many musical colleagues encouraged him to seek a solo career on the strength of his substantial body of original material and his spectacular voice.
