Hi my name is Gil Grissom l was born on August 17, 1956 in Santa Monica, California. I grew up in Marina Del Rey, California. My father was a botanist and my mother ran an art gallery in Venice. Growing up l became an avid reader and an amateur scientist, conducting necropsies on the corpses of animals l found in my neighborhood. When l was in college, l financed my first body farm with my winnings from a high stakes poker game. I became a forensic entomologist, earning my degree in biology from UCLA, and my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. I became the night shift team supervisor for the Las Vegas CSI unit, after Jim Brass got demoted following the death of co-worker. I'm currently retired and in Costa Rica with my fiancee Sara Sidle.[LOVEMYFLASH]
