The Quitters are one of the most beloved bands in the Rochester fringe/underground scene.
Beginning in 1994, the group formed around the songwriting duo comprised of two brothers - Dave and Dan Snyder, both trading off lead vocal and guitar duties with each other. The sound is pure power-pop. The only thing preventing it from being a flawless slick project is the incredibly trashy, sloppy mess that is Rob Filardo.
He's on the drums.
Together it's a wonderful marriage.
As far as the current lineup goes, the Quitters have recently lost Dave Snyder to NYC but they have gained Keith Von Suhr(of Thundergods fame) on left-handed guitar, and John Chaijka(of Grinders fame) on bass duties. This new quartet allows Dan to take over all lead vocals as well as some guitar.
With 3 full-length cd's under their belts('1982' being the most current) and a handful of rare-hard-to-find vinyl singles, the band is excited to have worked up a set of BRAND NEW songs in addition to the usual favorites.
