Hmm.
I have two ears, two hands, and ten toes. Two cats, one piano, and an abundance of spatulae. My lurid tales have graced the walls of some of the finest excretorial establishments in the western world, or at least, someday shall. I like to have picnics on the patio, grill a mean (rare) steak, and am unrepentantly geeky. I'm well-fed, badly-read, and kinda pervie.
When restless, I soothe myself with karuko puzzles, semi-precious stones, and occasional consultation of planetary trajectories. I aspire to one day write a musical, and to own and operate a panini iron. I love Buffy the Vampire Slayer with a fervor that borders on religious zeal.
My passions are food, music, writing, books , TV and film, astrology, matters of spirit, and matters of the flesh. Not necessarily in that order, although anyone who knows me well would titter at food's august position in that list.
In short, I can be counted on to blather on from time to time.
I'm a fiction and freelance writer, blogger, and book reviewer from San Diego, CA. I blog and write weekly L Word recaps for Velvetpark . I also contribute book reviews semi-monthly to The Hipster Book Club. I don't use the blog function here much, but I do use Live Journal. Lots.
Here are a few of my published clips:
"Why I Love Butch
Women, and Other Endangered Species"
"Top Ten Horrifying
Questions Straight Men Ask Lesbians"
"Less Sub, More Text: A Queer Tale of Buffy Fandom and Fan
Fiction"
Book Review: Swallow the Ocean, by Laura M. Flynn
As far as fiction goes, I play in many genres: erotica, lesbian fiction, fantasy/adventure, childrens and YA lit. From time to time I also dabble a bit in screenwriting, songwriting, composing and film scoring. Most recently in that vein, in 2007 I wrote snippets of five songs for a
locally produced indie short film: "Sodomy: The Musical!"
A long time ago, in a Buffyverse far, far away, I use to write fan fiction featuring Willow and Tara in a variety of compromising positions. You can find links to my fanfic here. And perhaps my finest achievement in geekdom to date (aside from this ), I am the creator of Fantasy Buffy, the best Buffy nerd game ever!
"Maybe it's just in America, but it seems that if you're passionate about something, it freaks people out. You're considered bizarre or eccentric. To me, it just means you know who you are." ~ Tim Burton
