Sounds Like:
The Lower East Side of Manhattan knew what it was doing when DJ Relapse was born was there. After performing in over 50 events in the past year and a half, DJ Relapse still has the swagger of NYC and never forgets where he came from.…
Question: Explain to me what keeps you going?
"I just do it, nothing more nothing less. I put on hot track after hot track and get the crowd involved, mix it well, and before you know it people are jumping around and I'm being told to stop the music because it's getting too crazy in here. I've did this last club in Buffalo, NY where the owner literally told me to stop the music because she was afraid the floor might give in. Haha, she was a little out of it though. I simply feel out the crowd and connect with them on different levels through my music I play. I get the energy up with maybe a hot current hip hop track, then take them back to when they were 14 years old with another hot but older hip hop track. Change it up, but stay consistent with artists, beats, and before you know it hands are up and they're singing along pointing at me, like 'ohhhhh, that's my ish.' And to me, that's where the passion, motivation, and feeling lie, it's a good feeling man."

“His energy and skills are like no other DJ I’ve ever saw before.â€
-Bar / Lounge Owner, Rochester, NY
Described as one of the most energetic DJ’s around, you might catch DJ Relapse hyping up the crowd over a microphone, running around the club getting people up to dance, or simply popping bottles and serving shots while Djing. His style is not just “play your favorite tunes and scratch DJ,†but more along the lines of doing extra things to make sure you have a great time beyond the DJ booth. Not only does he play “your favorite†songs, but he mixes them in a rather unique way. Going to a typical party hosted by DJ Relapse, you should expect to dance Hip-hop, House, Reggae, Reggaeton, Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Bachata, and some favorite throwbacks as he mixes and mashes the tracks in a very unique way.
Question: What was the biggest event you did?
"Well I recently did one event in Toronto, a private loft party that was crazy. I was performing along side the Canadian Idol. You would think that all these big name people were typical assholes, but in all honesty, you have to understand, they're people just like you and me. It was a good feeling and this was a point where I said to myself, there's no doubt that this is what I want to do. Not completely fulltime yet, but who knows.
I also did New Years Eve in NYC 2007-2008 from 8:00PM till 6:00AM the next morning. It was crazy, probably all together at least 1,000 people there. Imagine that."

One thing that separates DJ Relapse from all of the other DJ’s, is the fact that he is not limited to one environment. He has done audio work for plays, skits, fashion shows, date auctions, clubs, college parties, car shows, football games, free style competitions, as well as house parties and emphasizes hard work and dedication to ensure customer satisfaction 100% of the time. He makes sure that the quality of his work is outstanding and makes sure that the people he performs for are satisfied. He is “one of the best DJ’s†around and has “everything it takes†to take music to the next level. DJ Relapse has earned the phrase “bring him back,†as club owners, staff, and audience constantly ask to bring him back. He has the mind of an engineer, creativity of an artist, and a strong team by his side to accomplish virtually anything.
Question: What's Next for DJ Relapse?
"Well, currently working on a couple of things out in Canada. Just went international this year with doing three events out here, working on my new mixtape, Recession Hitz, dropping March 31st, will be in Florida in 3 weeks to do a private event out there, and later this month will be in Buffalo, NY to do another event. So I keep busy. Also working on a couple of designs for shirts as well as custom work with my graffitti artist. Will also be doing events / projects with L.E.S.G.O. Entertainment, my team back home."
Question: Why DJ Relapse?
"Back in the day everybody had tags. I wanted one too. So I chose something that defined sickness. Stuck with it and I want everybody to Relapse on my music! Get addicted to it, to me the DJ, and keep having me comeback, aka relapse on me. No crazy story behind it. It has a good ring to it. We all know the power of music, now relapse on mine."
