We (Ruth & Larry) have an eclectic mix of Latin American Folk Art, unusual gifts and collectibles, handmade cards, local art, handmade jewelry and so much more.El Sol Studios' hand-crafted art and jewelry has an inspiring beauty that draws from a variety of influences including Latino-chic, Mexican folk and Pop art, as well as natural elements. Themes include the everyday Folk Art from Mexico, Guatemala and Peru, icons such as Frida Khalo, Diego Rivera, Che Guevara, and Botero, and Loteria!, the ever popular Mexican Bingo game, which has become more popular than ever has also influenced our designs and art.Dia de los Muertos is a big part of the Mexican and many Latin countries. We try to select pieces that represent the beautiful tradition of our culture, at the same time keeping in mind of the new trends and modern twists to this popular holiday.Our art gallery features a different local artist every month. The artist's reception takes place during First Friday. First Friday Art Walk is a monthly celebration that takes place every first Friday of the month. Participating galleries and merchants open their doors from 6-11ish pm featuring a variety of art, crafts, music and culture in a festival type environment.
