About Me

Friends on this profile are people I've personally met and worked with. Thanks.
I am rather memorable as "the green-haired girl."  This works just fine for me, since I'm very pleased with my display of color.
I own and operate D. M. Gremlin Studios in Long Beach, CA, a commercial recording and photography studio.
We offer professional commercial recording services for full bands, solo musicians, and voiceover work, for $35/hr including engineering.
Our two rental photography studios have rates from $12 to $25/hr, including lights and backdrops, depending upon length of shoot and number of people involved.
I myself am the studio's recording and mastering engineer, a musician, a photographer, and a model, along with interests in a few other areas of general lunacy and madness.
I have ten years of experience as a recording engineer, and am a voting member of NARAS, the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences. This means I take part in the entry and voting process for the Grammy Awards, including entering artists who record here at the studio.
For more information about the recording studio facilities, please visit the following sites:
D. M. Gremlin Productions
Stark Raven Audio Mastering

For information about my photography, please visit Stark Raven Photo Galleries . I shoot in both fine art and commercial genres, on digital and film. Along with my personal artistic projects, I am available for hire to shoot studio portraits, bands, and events.
My modeling portfolio is at Model Mayhem #526411. I am available for a range of paid modeling work including fine art nudes, fantasy/character themes, and Gothic/alternative fashion. I am generally unavailable for test/TF*/unpaid shoots.
I'm very proud to be professional partners with photographer Adam Chilson and bodypainter Lisa Berczel (Battledress Paint-n-Body). Both of these artists' MySpace profiles can be found in my top friends section, below.
Adam and Lisa comprise the teaching staff for the studio's photography workshop series. Full information about our photography workshops and private instruction can be found on the Adam Chilson Photography Workshops web site.
If any of the above sounds interesting and you would like to meet us and/or see the studio, we hold a monthly Open House social and networking party. Information is at the Open House web site.
Please direct all business-related studio inquiries to the studio's email address at [email protected] . I do not check this page every day, and prefer to keep all business correspondence organized into one email account which I do check frequently. Thank you!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I think it would be super awesome to play some music and write songs with the musicians whose work I most admire. For example, the members of Rush, particularly drummer Neil Peart, the members of U2, and Sting.

My Blog

Foodstuff

The only problem with cooking fish is that even after cleaning up the trash and dishes, the kitchen holds onto the fish odor.  Somehow it's different if the kitchen keeps the smell of cooked chic...

The guns I am comfortable with...

Of course the subject line is a bit of a reference to the story in the last entry.  However the topic of guns and comfort levels popped up again today, in a totally different manner.I was going t...

A Series of Brief Updates

1.  Ants:We manage to keep the place clean enough to keep the roach sightings down to the inevitable "one once-in-a-while" level.  But the last few days, we've been getting overrun by ANTS.&...

Tonight was Chris Lee's gallery opening, at Village Grind, in downtown Long Beach.  We had a good time... all the people there looked rich, so we were the resident freaky people, like always!&nbs...

A few hours later...

We now have a nice neat switch in our makup room! Mostly thanks to Gremlin's knowledge of wiring, but after watching him, I do believe I could do the next one if there was need. Took us about two hou...
