"War Machine Eric" might sound presumptuous -- or corny, even -- but it's the title of a KISS tune that I love to play on drums: War Machine. And...yeah, I must admit...I AM a War Machine!!! LOL
I took up drumming in 2006. I think what
people see in me when drumming is how much I love it and how much hard work I put into it, trying to emulate my childhood heroes: Tommy Lee, Peter Criss, Alex Van Halen, and more recently, Eric Signer (KISS, Alice Cooper).
Eric Signer's drumming is very technical. What I mean by that is that he went to a music school for cryin' out loud. So watching him play is like having a drum lesson everytime, which is good for a "beginner" like me. By the way, I must say that I saw Eric live along with KISS in Sault Ste-Marie, MI, on July 20th 2007. Wow, what a show!
So, yeah, I still consider myself a "beginner". But I truly believe that's why I put extra effort in my drumming
and it shows.
