Projekt Klone; Looking for bands to support

About Me

Projekt KloneWas formed somewhere in 2005. After ending the band Mortal Insanity, there was a period of a year where GertJan and Nico dived into some studio work. They recorded some 7 bands in their (home) studio. And in between the bands, they got this feeling of making the music themselves again.
After recording iMPOSTERZ, GertJan and Nico where asked to be their soundman. So they hooked up with them on a few gigs and got to know the band a little better.
And a little evil plan rose to the surface of their musical brains. "What if we ask their drummer to join our project?" We did ask and he was ok with it. He wanted to quit the band a few months later (due to the usual reasons) and hooked up with us.
Now we could do something! Only thing then was that we play songs with a click track and a lot of samples. So Leon had to learn himself to play along with the click track, which wasn't that easy....... Next obstacle to overcome was line up; 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drum.
GertJan had to play the bass guitar. So he starts practising, but he also does the singing....... And that combination didn't work out just fine. A lot of our bass lines are not on the beat. It took a long time to get it of the ground. Leon was already quite used to the click track now. But things evolved too slowly and we all had the idea that we would end the project without any finished goals in sight. Then early 2006 GertJan announced he was to become father. More delays and not practicing was the result of that. In that time GertJan was only busy with his upcoming firstborn while Leon and Nico were rehearsing together. Nico started to do some singing to get the songs going without GertJan on vocals. Even Léon took a microphone. And soon the idea came up to get an additional bass-player, even though they decided to keep the project three persons.
So after talking to GertJan about it, Leon posted some ads for a new bass player. Five bass players reacted, one declined after hearing our music (too much metal.....) One said, I'm already in other bands and studying bass at the academy, so I can't join fulltime. Then John came along and Leon and Nico said;" This would be the one to join our band" One week later the last bass player showed up, but when they watched him play, it was obvious that he wouldn't be in.
John gladly accepted our invitation and got rehearsing the next week. John can play all the songs now, so it's time to do some gigging now.................................................
Our style is based on melody, rhythmic elements and sounds.
We use samples in our music, which are created by our selves. We use different measures. The music has element of metal although we use pop/rock vocals.
You will find elements of the following bands in our music; Limp Bizkit, Queensrÿche, Metallica, Linkin Park, Godsmack, R.A.T.M and Rammstein. Our music can not be linked to on or two of these bands, we like to use the best elements of them all.
As a band, we fit in an rock- and metalconcert. But it's for you to check it out
