Terror Optics is based out of New Orleans, Louisiana and has been making independent horror films since 2001 when they kicked things off with their first feature film, ATTACK OF THE COCKFACE KILLER, a bloody tale of a sexually repressed mongoloid victimizing an extremely sexually active Louisiana town. The result is an 80 minute party littered with plenty of sex and violence and the blasting soundtrack to match. This young group of filmmakers then delved into short films with THE SMELLY GREASER and SNEAKY PETE, along with a few music videos for local punk acts THE PALLBEARERS and THE POOTS. Then in 2004 they released their second feature length film, STABBED IN THE FACE. This picture takes a bit more of a serious approach, but still enforces an abundance of the b-movie vibe of COCKFACE. STABBED IN THE FACE is in a way an homage to the 80's stalk and slash films that the creators grew up on. Up next, the music side of Terror Optics grew into a record label upon the release of the Louisiana underground music compilation, LEWD CONDUCT. The disc features 26 bands from southern Louisiana, and was the first release on the company's own RECTUM RECORDS. The label has since released cd's by THE PALLBEARERS, THE POOTS, THE BILLS, and will soon be premiering a line of Terror Optics soundtracks. After Katrina Terror Optics began production on their most notable effort to date, GOREGASM. The abondoned streets and destroyed buildings gave them an oppurtunity to create a world all their own while also taking up the production value considerably. Though the film is a sequel to COCKFACE KILLER, it indroduces a whole new crop of characters, victims, and villans with a humerous yet extremely dark vibe. POOTS vocalist, Ric Kauffman, stars as Mark, a porn store clerk who seeks out revenge on the Cockface Killer for invading his home and ruining his sex life. Along the way, Mark and his buddy Pete (Steve Waltz) encounter a vicious girl gang bent on the death of all men and a detective who's dirtier than the scum he arrests. GOREGASM incorporates a large chunk of the New Orleans punk and metal music scene and truly is destined to be a Cult Classic! Following Goregasm was a short film for the 48hr film fest, SU MISURA, which won 8 awards including best picture. Then a video for the Pallbearers' song, SEX CRIME OF THE CENTURY. Recently Terror Optics wrapped up the short film PEEPSHOW CREEP which follows Les, a weirdo on a downward spiral, through the sleazier side of New Orleans. Watch him stalk and slash girls from a local peepshow to the beat of dark surf music. Speaking of surf music, you can now see the new video for The Bills' song "Raging Bull" on terroroptics.com. 2009 has been busy with the completion of "CREEPY DEAN", the sort of sequel to Sneaky Pete.
