About Me

I'm a politics geek. I’m a huge Democrat and even bigger Liberal. I guess I try to fight for the "little man." I've loved the Cubs and UT Football for as long as I can remember, music is my life; I collect 12" vinyl records and have more CD’s than I’d like to admit. I have been playing some sort of instrument since I was 12, yet somehow I can’t seem to get past the beginner level of any of them. I love watching live bands and going into the studio with my friends. I’m starting to enjoy the “behind the scenes” aspect of the recording industry more and more every day. I think it is very interesting and people would appreciate music more if they knew what all went into making a record. I have started a small business with a friend of mine who is a bluegrass engineer here in Nashville, so if you or your band wants to record anything for a good price let me know. Sometimes I think I should have been born about 20 years earlier, but I'm doing well in the time I was given. I love older music and the whole counterculture scene, which I find in constant conflict because of my love for politics. I’m very sarcastic and brutally honest, so when you first meet me, chances are that I will offend you. After I get to know you, chances are even greater that I will offend you. I have a small dash of obsessive compulsive in me. I like things to be neat and straight and my need for having everything in my house centered and aligned to something else. i.e. picture frames. I also hate when people leave doors, cabinets and drawers open in the kitchen. I hate the stereotypical South, rednecks and the idea of living here my entire life, but for some reason I really like TN. I do not like the humidity. I used to think that I was this totally weird, long shaggy haired liberal hippie that liked going against the grain. Now I just feel like that I want what’s best for people in general, and if being liberal or progressive means that everyone, no matter age, color, sex, race or religion gets a fair chance in what ever it is that they want to do, then I am as liberal as they come. There are people way too concerned about what other people are doing or saying that they end up so busy judging they can’t enjoy life. I am proud of my beliefs and am not afraid to defend them. I love a lot of things in my life and I am not going to be bothered while trying to enjoy them by letting somebody yell at me about what they think is right or wrong. Although these little surveys don’t mean anything, try it out and see where you stand, it might surprise you. Here is a hippie test, enjoy.
.. You scored as One Intelectual Individual. You're a thinker. You see things from a very different prospective than the rest of the world, and probably find release and self-expression in music, painting, scalpting, or any other form of art. People see you as a deep person, full of knowledge that they don't understand. People are attracted to that, but there's a good chance you don't care.
