No fuss, all rock.
Loud.
Sometimes rude.
Occasionally violent.

The first band to take to The Rainbow’s stage was Birmingham’s Heroica. These guys were the winners of Aston University’s Battle of the Bands and it was pretty clear from the off that they were no strangers to the stage, brimming with a relaxed confidence that came across well in their booming rock-indie sound. Elements of blues, contemporary indie and classic rock worked together for a wholly convincing set. Some great songs and a strong stage presence saw them go down well with the Monday night crowd, leaving few with any doubt as to their ability. Round 2 Review:
Bringing to a close an excellent night of unsigned music was Birmingham’s Heroica. Classic, blues-infused Rock n Roll with a tidy contemporary spin, all bursting with energy and style, they’ve got a strong direction that really works for them. The quality of their material is where they really stood-out, catchy, memorable and well-written, their tracks were consistently strong throughout their set, which they tore through with confidence and technical precision, quickly establishing themselves as a crowd favourite.
