ANASTACIA (STACEY) TOLBERT, writer, director and producer of the GOTBREAST? documentary (July 2007). Tolbert is a Cave Canem Fellow, and author of the poety book "Baring My Soul." Her poetry, fiction and nonfiction have been published in "Essence Magazine," "Check the Rhyme: An Anthology of Female Poets & Emecees," "Hair Piecez," "I Woke Up and Put My Crown On:76 Voices of African American Women:Rochelle Hart, "Ro Deezy,"" "Number One Magazine," "The Nubian Chronicles," "Present Magazine," "The Source Magazine" and "San Diego City Beat." She is the recipient of the 2004 Journalism Press Club Award, for the article "War Torn." She is a playwright "NOT MY SIZE,"(April 2006) and workshop facilitator for creative writing and poetry, specializing in empowerment & self esteem for women and girls. She conceived the idea for the GOTBREAST? documentary in an effort to provide a platform for dialog amongst all kinds of women(men) and teen girls(boys). She is eternally grateful for Annie Walsh's partnership.ANNIE WALSH is the producer, director and editor of the GOTBREAST? documentary. She is a writer, filmmaker, actress and singer. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Missouri Columbia and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Media Production at the University of Missouri Kansas City. Ms. Walsh is interested in literary adaptation and socially and politically relevant media. She has adapted poetry and prose for the screen, and has written an original screenplay as well. Her first film, "T-Shirt Flirt," was inspired by the artwork of a rape survivor and was produced to benefit the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault. It has been exhibited at various venues in Kansas City, including the KC Filmmakers Jubilee and the Tivoli Theater. In partnership with UMKC's Student Chapter of the American Association of University Women, Walsh created a short film exploring issues affecting the equity in education of Kansas City teens. She has also produced a live radio show and assembled a team of students to produce a short film for the Independent Film Coalition of KC's One Night Stand competition. Walsh says that her partnership with Stacey Tolbert has changed her life, both personally and professionally, and she hopes that the film will change the lives of all who see it.
