We are an Hip Hop group by the name of "RARE" located here in the Midwest. Milwaukee to be exact. Shaolin Entertainment is the label. RARE consists of three members "MO JOE", "ELFY", and "TOMSON". This trio rocks the mic like no other MC you've ever heard. They truly possess the essence of hip hop entertainment. The name "RARE" truly describes the level of their performance. The leader of this rap trio "MO JOE" is multi- talented. MOE JOE started as a solo performer and has since joined with two other members of his family Tomson and Elfy to create what we now know and love "RARE", thus starting the Hip-Hop revolution for the Asian community. RARE has performed in Milwaukee at the RAVE/EAGLES ballroom and everywhere else (Rain, Moon, Area 414, 618, International, etc), everywhere in Chicago Chicago (Cotton Club, Kicks, etc), Fresno, Ca. at the RAINBOW Ballroom and clubs, Minnesota – Aldrich Arena and clubs, Club Frequency in Atlanta, GA, Bangkok - Defusion, etc in Michigan, various festivities/community events, etc. across the nation. RARE has opened up for many mainstream artist such as Yukmouth of the Luniz, TRAE from DJs screw screwed up click, Dirty, Dilated Peoples and recently KANYE WEST of roccafella, Ludacris of Def Jam South, CLIPSE of star trak, N.E.R.D.S. of the Neptunes, Don Juan – Playaz Ball, LYRICS BORN, TWISTA of Atlantic Recording Co., Black Eye Peas, MC Search (The White Rapper Show), and the legend himself: Afrika Bambaataa. They also competed, placed & won on MTV's Rap Phenomenon in Cleveland, OH. They’ve met with many Record Labels and A&R's and had radio presence on: V100.7 – (Clear Channel), 91.7 WMSE, WNOV, Power 92.3 – Chicago, IL, Kiss FM 95.9 – Green Bay, Wild 94.9 – Bay Area (CA), FM 98 WJLB - Detroit, MI, 103.7 Kiss FM Milwaukee and many college campus radios all over. TELEVISION/BROADCASTING includes: SPNN Studios, Fox 6, X-POZ'E T.V. Show, MTV, Warner Bros (Clint Eastwood- Gran Torino), many various local news and so on. Elfy has also been a host to many events I.E. Scion and has worked with DJs far and wide. Publication and media upon request. What makes RARE a hot commodity are several elements. Number one would be their great attitude, consistency, dedication to their craft, they write and produce their own music, last but not least they keep it all in the family. They get along so well. They have already produced and marketed three of their albums on their own. These albums are sold in Chicago, Minnesota, California, Milwaukee, North Carolina, and so forth.
