For close to 16 years, Ed has played with numerous local, regional, and cover bands, and never less than 2 at once. First by picking up the guitar, then eventually drums, Ed's persistence to always move forward and improve remained steadfast. From doing acoustic duos in NYC, to audiences of a couple thousand in the US and abroad, Ed has always shown a positive track record among his peers.
The past couple of years were relatively quiet so he could concentrate on establishing a stable career path. He performed a few shows with Shadow Image, opening for prog metal acts like Symphony X, Kamelot, and Sonata Arctica, as well as having the track Fragile Mind appear on the Progpower USA 8 compilation CD. In addition, he also released Transient’s The Circle where he wrote and performed all the music and instrumentation. This was met with very positive reviews worldwide, internet airplay, as well as appearances on 2 volumes of the ProgPower USA cd compilation series.
The proverbial "next level" arrived. Opportunities knocked in 2009 when he received an email from good friend Vic Rivera (Adrian Gale, Crunch) offering an audition for Danger Danger vocalist Ted Poley. Humbled and grateful, he drove to NYC and passed the audition! In addition, he has completed drum tracks for Retroactive Recording Artist Rivera/Bomma’s 3rd release which will be released worldwide. This will also be his first experience in the role of co-producer for this recordings. Just when you think “that’s enough,†he is also involved in 3 writing projects (no names yet) which include John Pine (THD, Visions), Dean Sternberg (Within Another, Into Eternity), Tom Spadafora (Shadow Image), Doug Odell (Ted Poley, Crunch, TNA, China Blue), Eddie Campbell (Crunch, Them, Ted Poley, sessions) and Chris Onjian (Symmetry, Neil Rambaldi). He has just completed recording 12 songs for Money For The Toll, a progressive rock act which include his brother Sean, and good friends Gordon Prokap and Bruce Sokolovic. In between all that, he is also writing backing tracks for a business venture, and will also be seeking licensing.
Two steps back, five steps forward. 2009 has given Ed a well needed breath of fresh air, and is looking forward to recording, touring………..once again pursuing music as a career path.
