Sean C. Stout. Musician XXI Century.

About Me

From the heart of the "Plastic Capitol" comes Sean Stout! Our hero was originally taught the basics of guitar and bass around the age of 11 by his father. He has since become "comfortable" with the instrument and has also taken up percussion, keyboard instruments, banjo, and mandolin. His range of musical tastes have ranged from Metal to Folk and the influences of many genres can be detected in his songs. He has a great many songs under his belt (he doesn't even wear a belt), since beginning to write the "good stuff" at age 14. He only got the bravery to sing his own material when his group The Time Travel Crew had been assembling in his dining room ("jam room") for several months. After playing with TTC for a year and a half, he decided to record a solo album ("Lockjaw"). After the completion of this album, he felt he had "written the ink well dry" and suffered writer's block for at least six months. He was then "saved" by another album that was to be made as a history project for school (Manley Morris' "V For Victory"). He has just released his new LP, "Mania".----Sean Stout, third person----

Sounds Like: A mash-up of all the great music I've ever heard and my own ideas. There may just be elements of every genre represented in my music. I would say I play the guitar like a man possessed, or like a 1920s banjo player. I dunno. I could a say that there is a lot of malice and sadness in my music, but it also sounds extremely happy. I can and can't control it, but it's my life and I live in a speaker.
