About Me

I think too much... about everything... but don't get me wrong, thinking too much and worrying too much are two different things. I have a thirst for knowledge. I love life... although it can be hard at times, the victory is that much sweeter. I appreciate a lot of things in my life... and I appreciate not getting everything I want... If you think about it, you probably didn't want half those things you wished for anyway. I've been told i'm blunt, but i'd rather call it "bull-shit-less." I don't like beating around the bush, and I'll call you out on it if the bushes around you start wiggling. I try my best to be truthful to myself... although i wonder sometimes if I would be better off lying to myself... other people do it, and they're fine. But the truth always has a way of finding itself.I'm sarcastic and i get along with others who are... otherwise, they just think i'm being mean b/c they don't get it. The people who i am good friends with really are good friends. I am independent, confident, and I enjoy my life. That doesn't mean I think i'm perfect... there's room for improvement and like everyone else, i've got my insecurities. I can also be wacky, silly, and carefree. Laughing out loud feels good. Singing out loud feels good. Swearing feels good. Life can suck, but life is good.

My Interests

a whole bunch of stuff that i have yet to give myself the time of day to accomplish... drawing, painting... baby steps.

I'd like to meet:

good people, open minded people... you can always learn from people different from yourself

Music:

i've been told my taste in music is very eclectic. I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT. I have zero talent in making music, but i love it. Favorites for the moment: Postal Service, Garden State Soundtrack

Movies:

hmm.... old ones? Braveheart (freedooooom!), Top Gun, .... can't think right now. let's just say a lot ranging from hopeless romantic movies, to sci-fi, to action.... psychological....latest fav: GARDEN STATE is layered yet simple.

Television:

Rescue Me, Sex in the City, Friends (yes, like everyone else... but they're so random that it's funny)

Books:

Lovely Bones, Psychic Diaries, Memoirs of a Geisha, Celestine Prophecy
