Yo, what up it's your girl Nina Leigh, the gypsy hailed from the South Bronx, bred up and down the east coast and livin the life in NYC. It is my mission to take over the world and my first move is to take over the radio game. I am a child of the streets and the suburbs and critical of the non-sense I see going down around me. However, I am not trying to save the world, I just want to shed light on it. All those who don't fall in line will get rolled over.
While the masses take bliss in their ignorance, I am moving forward to attain further knowledge. I believe the theory that the informed few must go back and educate the masses. So here I am; me, my mouth and my microphone, speaking to the world.
Now don't it twisted, I am not so lost in my own self-righteousness that I don't have time to sympathize with the plight of others. Nor am I am too busy to take joy in making fun of the so called gifted ones a/k/a celebrities. Yes, I am judgmental and rightfully so, because if you are too stupid to play your position correctly then you deserve whatever comes your way.
Just to show you I am human, you may hear me talk about myself, my life, past experiences or whatever. Quite basically I refuse to lock myself into a corner, in order to understand my thought process, you must first know me.
Life throws you whatever and so do I.
I started off my radio career with my own show called "The TakeOver" and later merged with my partner in crime Summer B and together we formed our current show "The Industry TakeOver." While you ride with us on our journey I want to thank you for support. We LOVE our fans and we do this for the glory.
I am also a writer and you can catch some of my work at www.imtstyles.com in my column "Because Nina Says So". I also try to keep up with a regular blog about whatever and whenever here on myspace.
I can be summed up in a few lines from of my favorite songs:
"They asked me what can I do for the youth, everybody lies to 'em so I tell 'em the truth."--Young Jeezy, "The Inspiration"
"And if I am wrong there is no right"--Lil' Wayne, "Gossip"
"I been waiting on this my whole life. These dreams keep waking me up at night. You say I think I'm never wrong. You know what? Maybe you're right. And I wonder do you know what it means to find your dreams."--Kanye West "I wonder"
I appreciate the time that you spend reading this and thank you for it. Listen to the snippets, get a laugh, and have a good day.
Love,
Miss Nina Leigh
