Underground music always makes use of brand new technology or uses existing technology in ways that are light-years ahead of the mainstream. With endless copies of Fruityloops and Reason floating about on the internet it was inevitable that a new movement would be started. When Dubstep originated roughly 6 or 7 years ago it was ruled by a few: Skream, Plasticman, Benga & Hatcha. As Dubstep has grown in popularity so have the numbers of major players: Distance, Loefah, Coki, Mala to name a few.
