Forged in June of 2007, members were: Christophe Ennis - Bass, Matt Lynn -Keys, Dustin Whitaker - Drums, Brandon Smith - Guitars, and Johnnie Terrero - Vocals. The band played its first show in September of 2007 and its last gig in April of 2008. Studio recordings were done in February of that year and will finally be made available in late 2009. The band slowly disintegrated in summer of 2008, with the loss of drummer Dustin Whitaker due to physical ailments. Matt Lynn and Johnnie Terrero slowly lost interest in continuing the project. Christophe and Brandon endured, and kept on keepin on. Its fires were rekindled late that year with the addition of drummer Chris VanBrunt. Soon after came the additions of Randy Tallo on keys and Jason Tanner as a second guitar player. With a new line up complete a new direction came about. Instead of working on riffs or structured songs, improvisational jams were the flavor savored best. Some themes reappear now and then but such as the Earth, the music continually changes and evolves. As much as possible is catalogued and will periodically be put up and changed. The music generally ranges between ambient psychedelia and balls out heaviness with interminglings of noise and chaos. Goals of Bad Acid Tones are not to retain, but to capture the moment and its energies. Like a bubbling primordial ooze we birth new creations continually.
