STRAW HATS

Straw hats were formed on 2005 from our love for country music. The two quitarists Stavros Angelakis and Spyros Konstantopoulos where friends and best men since 1999. Very often they sat by the fire place on the cold winter nights and jammed with their acoustic quitars, mainly blues. Stavros ,up to then was playing the bass for several bands since 1983. Spyros was playing the quitar in various blues bands. But when it came to jamming it was more southern and country ,mainly because of Stavros great love for country music. So one night in 2005 ,after one jamm in our studio with drums and bass we took the decision to form a pure country band. Milena , Stavros' wife was the first to join the band as keybord player and lead singer.
