I do not condone the breeding and slaughter of animals for human consumption.
I do not condone the killing of millions upon millions of healthy pets simply because “there are no homes for them.†There are millions of homeless people in America and we're not killing them.
I do not believe that being the dominant species on the planet gives us cart blanche to treat other species with the utter disregard that we do.
I do believe that God’s heart aches for the unfathomable suffering our human arrogance causes.
God blessed them; and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Gen 1:28
And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own? Luke 16:12
If you asked me to look after your animals while you were away, how would you expect to find them on your return? Euthanized because there wasn't room to keep them all? Slaughtered and sold for meat? Skinned and sold to furriers? Sold to laboratories for experiments? Killed for sport?
What will be our answer to the Lord when He returns and asks us how well we’ve cared for His animals?
